Hi Bryan,
there's another recording of the Royal Garden Blues.
Recorded by NDR in October 1973 in Hannover (Germany).
Helge Lorenz
...and another one recorded by WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) for TV at the Subway 1989.
Best wishes,
Andreas Wandfluh
...and there are more recordings of Royal Garden Blues, however not realeased on LP or CD. I would like to point out that the first live recording with John Crocker on clarinet and alto was made by Swiss Radio on August 8th, 1968 in Geneva and features as guest the one and only Albert Nicholas (clarinet) in a fantastic Royal Garden Blues! I still hope that this concert will be released on a CD despite the fact that the original recording is in mono.
