I am trying to trace an LP I used to own wich I think was labelled "Jazz at the Royal Festival Hall 1952".
It had a picture of the RFH on the sleeve in a pale blue colour.
Chris and his band featured in the concert and (I think) it was where Lonnie Donnegan first introduced skiffle. He played Rock Island Line in an interval.
Also on the record was George Melly singing Black Mountain Blues.
I think also The Avon Cities Jazz Band were there.
Any help in tracing this LP or a CD copy of it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The record you are looking for is on the Barber site at http://www.chrisbarber.net/covers/cover-030.htm

The page also gives details about the CD reissue.

I think I have a copy of the record you are looking for. But I think you will find it was 1954 not 52.
