Hi,

just want to give a short description about Chris´ and the band´s appearance at Later....with Jools Holland, yesterday on BBC2.

Chris and the band played Jubilee Stomp, Gin House (with Andy Fairweather Low) and Petite Fleur.

Also Chris talked a bit to Jools and accompanied Diane Reeves in one tune (also with Andy Fairweather Low).

Great to see the band on television...and to see John Slaughter again!

Cheers,

Helge

Agreed . . . well we could just about see John! I gave a groan at the start of Petite Fleur but then thought that it was probably the best arrangement and most sensitively played version I've heard . . .including the original. Sorry Mont!

Still don't think the band will ever be the same without Ian and the man with the best pressed suit . . . but there you go . I've got the new CDs on order anyway. Wish I could get hold of the EP with Jimmy Cotton and Alexis Korner.

You lucky Europeans. We don't get the programme here in Canada, and the small part that is on the web is restricted to the UK.
